Voiceover
HSE: Little Things
A national television campaign for the Health Service Executive in Ireland. I did a day’s recording in the studio and shared my story that appeared on its own and in montage style across their campaign.
Note: for this television campaign, I used “Úna” instead of “Úna-Minh”; however, my first name is Úna-Minh, and I’m a lot more comfortable using that now.
Voice Acting
Note: There is currently one project (an indie video game), yet to be released, that I provided my voice for. The tone was casual, conversational and will feature as part of an in-game health app.
Azzy Battles the Darkness
Voiced Hedy the Engineer in this charming and vibrant 3D Action-Platformer inspired by PS2/GameCube classics. I provided the voice for “Hedy”; see snippet below.
Eyes of Hellfire
I was the Lead Producer for our game, but before we hired our final cast, I conducted a full-day recording of all the character barks for Cat in Eyes of Hellfire. We used my voice as a placeholder for voice acting all characters for many months, which was somewhat amusing during testing.
Recording was done through my mic (SURE MV7), with audio production by our sound designer, Gary Keane. I’m credited with “Additional Voice Acting” within the in-game credits. I have a background in stage and was in stage school for 10+ years.
Have a listen to some of my lines here during our playtests and how they’re presented in-game. Note: our game uses proximity chat, hence players chatting over lines:
Types of barks:
- Jokes: the character, Cat, is a comedian
- Screams: big screams, frights, shock
- Emoting: hmm, ah, grunts, etc.
- Attack noises: getting attacked, attacking, dying, injured, etc.
- General barks are delivered in various ways
